Zeta was formed in 1989 as a spin out of Oxford Brookes University, focusing on high end intelligent electronics for the automotive market. Zeta was the market leader in special purpose vehicle controls by 2000 and chose to then diversify into the LED and Solar lighting markets.

The Zeta Group has been designing, developing and manufacturing intelligent systems suited to a wide range of applications for over 26 years, and has achieved the BS-EN-ISO 9001 Quality Management Standard.

Zeta EV are producing 300 Smart Chargers to be used, which will offer the latest connectivity allowing users to view availability and pre-book chargers. The chargers will communicate with users, operators and maintenance teams to ensure up-time availability and optimum use. The partners in this project are: Zeta, University of Oxford, SSE Enterprise, Urban Integrated Ltd and Oxfordshire County Council.
